Need access database help on a order system?
hi all, im in the process of building a order database. Im just a bit confused on the invoice so im hoping people can give some suggestions. Well the database is for a take away food place. Because its a take away the customers are completely random with no names, address etc. added so i only have customer number in the customer table. the customer table is relationed with an Orders table which he customer number is the foreign key. The orders table is connected to a order details table. so my question is that im a bit confused on how my invoice will come because when i was looking at the northwind example in access theres customers names, addresses etc. so would i just create the invoice based on the customer number in the customers table?i hope i explained it ok any suggestions and help are most appreciated

Access Database Help?
Hi, I wonder if any one out there can help me out?I have an access database with a list of codes I would like to run a report to show the entries against each code. However on the report I would like it to show a name in place of the code based on the first few letters of the code. For example There are many codes beginning with CCAD, every time a code beginning CCAD is found I would like it to show the word 'Apples'. Every time the code LLHG appears I would like it to show 'Oranges'.I can't do a simple find and replace on the data as we need to maintain the original code information and we also need to be able to produce the report as needed without going through a find and replace to update any new records.Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a mental block with this one. Many thanks,

I am trying to create a database of friends. For the mobile number cells, they are supposed to start with 0, eg 0123456789. When I enter a number such as 0123456789, the zero at the front dissapears. What do I have to do to keep the 0 there? I think it has something to do with the field format or something.

Access database help please?
I work in an office that five employees have a share drive. Everything we input in this share drive in Access database saves automatically in all computers. Once one of the employees deleted half of info by accident and we all lost that. We have a backup box and a flash drive. I have kept copies in these disks for myself. But, as soon as I insert the backup box or flash drive, it automatically updates from our share drive. So, last time after one of the employees lost half of the database, I thought I could use the flash drive or back up box. But, as soon as I inserted those in the computer they get updated from the sharedrive, with half of info gone. So, what is the purpose of saving? How can I stop the backup box and flash drive from saving automatically? I even gave the files in backup box and flash drive a different name, still it got updated automatically. Why does it save on file that has a different name?
