Question: If statement in access database table to auto-fill field?

(Posted by: Evil-Dog on 2010-05-20 03:15:50)

I have a database and I'm trying to make it so that when fields 1, 2 3 and 4 are equal to "y " then put "yes " in a field (the field is called Pass). I am using Access 2007 and an Access 97- 2003 database.

The formula is = if( "field 1 "= "y ",if( "field 2 "= "y ",if( "field 3 "= "y ",if( "field 4 "= "y ", "Yes ", " ")))) This worked in Excel. I imagine you will be using the formula in a query.
