I'm really needing some help I have to set up a database with the following info Week BeginningDate ReceivedRef NumberNameAddressPost CodeEmail addressModel Engraved CommentsSent back I have been looking on the computer but to be honest not very good with access. I will need to enter data and be able to check back on customers details say for example the last 6 months I just don't have a clue how you set tables, queries, relationships etc.Any help you could give with be most appreciated.Thank youThe database is for watch repairs

I have a user that gets error 3050 "cannot lock file" when trying to open a microsoft access database file....?
This user tries to open the file but gets the error 3050. He has full access to the file and the folder it's in. I searched this error and found something telling me to delete the old LDB file. Is this a good idea? I'm not sure if deleting that will cause errors with the database file. Just looking for a solution to fix the problem. Thanks in advance.

Im making a database about books. Would an ISBN be a unique ID for each book ? or would I have to have to have an even more unique number for each book. I ask because I do not know whether an ISBN is for each single book. or for a group of books.

How do I make a Microsoft Access Database accessible from the web?
I've done a lot of research on this online and seen that the capability exists in Access 2010 with Microsoft Sharepoint. It seems like a lengthy process to convert a database from a conventional database to a web database. I want to preserve all the forms and functionality of access as much as possible. The main goal is to get the database on a web hosting company's server to increase the speed with which users access it. What's the easiest way to do this? I know it's possible with ASP.net but I'm not a programmer. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Can I run a Microsoft Access database as its own program?
I created an Access database that runs using forms and hyperlinks to other forms. Is there anyway for me to export that file so that it will run on its own without Microsoft Access, just like a program that was written on Visual Basic would do? I don't know how to write computer language in Visual Basic so i created my program on Access using its reports, forms, databases, queries etc. and want to be able to use it as its own program. If not, is there anyway that i can use that file as a sort of basis to write my own from scratch? The file consists of form that act as menus with hyperlinks to forms for the user to enter information which is used to create reports, averages etc.I apologise if the question is a daft or a little hard to understand but I'm not very familiar with how this sort of things work. Any help would be appreciated.

Working with Microsoft Access. I have two Tables. Table 1 has student names, their addresses, and other contact info. Table 2 has student names and their contact phone numbers. I would like to merge the two tables. Therefore, the student names are the matching field. I prefer making sure I still have original Table 1 info plus a new field with the student's phone number from Table 2. Thanks.
Microsoft Access Database primary key related entry?
I have made an access database its all fine but the relationship is related to the autonumber primary key which i think is what i have to do right? , but what i want is to be able to do is instead of typing in the related number for the other related tables autonumber, i want to be able to add a new text entry or select from previously used entries in the data.Like if you had ten names, and the autonumber had gone from 1 10 on the names, but if in the related table you wanted to type the text version of their names or type 'greg' and the database would assign it the correlating autonumber. Help would be great thanks.
